Libra New Moon: Harmonize Inner Tension

The sun + moon are cuddled up in Libra, drawing the cosmic drapes, leaving us to slow dance beneath a dark sky. We recently transitioned from Earth to Air, Virgo to Libra. In North America we see the shift in nature as the air cools, animals migrate, and plant life begins to die or settle to seed. It's the dance of duality, of coexistence, of life. Libra challenges us to to harmonize and find balance within the polarities of our existence. Life and death, light and dark, self and other, yin and yang.

Libra is the part in all of us that sits on the fence of indecision. The tug o war between wanting to commit to a relationship yet wanting freedom, wanting to be social but also seeking alone time, longing for intimacy then becoming detached. The list goes on and on...

Libra is the sun and the moon, male and female, showing us we are not and/or but both. The way to cure the inner push/pull is to harmonize, to find peace within our dual nature. Libra teaches the importance of finding our independence within the greater mandala of interdependence, the web that weaves us all together.

This new moon encourages us to use others as a mirror to reflect on ourselves more deeply without blame, judgement or shame -just honesty and love. Saturn comes in asking that we be sincere with ourselves and our emotions so that we may be forthright and heartfelt in our relationships with others. Chiron opposes the new moon in Libra potentially influencing old wounds to surface from past relationships while also opening a doorway of opportunity to initiate forgiveness and healing.

To everything there is a season. A time to be born, a time to die. This season brew on what in your life is waiting for a hearty 'YES'! What needs to end in order to be attentive to the growth of new creations?

Commit to the relationship with yourself. Get off the fence and follow your heart. Balance begins with 'B' and ends with 'E' so-to-find-it-just BE.
