A Letter To My Mom

A Letter to my Mom:

We may not be together today

Just land and miles

keep us away

Boy, I miss you extra

during the month of May

The love I feel for you is

more than I can say

And I know raising me alone

made your hairs turn grey

So many rules and guidances

I simply refused to obey

But you still loved me unconditionally

and made me corn soufflé

You led by example

you showed me the way

You gifted me so much

its a challenge to convey

The love and gratitude I feel toward you

grows immeasurably everyday

Our incredibly deep bond ~

not a thing or person could outweigh

So celebrate the Mom you are

with a big glass of Cabernet

You are not just the sunshine

but the brightest ray

Happy Mothers Day to all who take on that role.

You all are vital and valued.

To everyone who this day brings grief or heavy heartedness, I wish you peace and send you love.
