Spring is a season of awakening. A time of aliveness. Insects are hatching, birds are chirping, the ground is thawing, the sun bathes everything in a rejuvenating, energized light. Here on the western slope of Colorado we still have a significant amount of snow on the ground and we won’t see an abundance of wildflowers for the next couple of months. However, you can smell the fertile earth in the gentle breeze, and you can feel the coming warmth in the suns growing intensity. Perched Bald Eagle

  This beautiful bald Eagle came into view last week on a short drive to the next town over from us. He was one of many that I saw that week, a week of Eagles. I was quite far away but figured I might as well take the opportunity to capture the presence of a wondrous creature.
