Happy December friends! And happy Monday! After many years of hoping I’d see a Colorado moose, 3 graced my path this fall. Unexpectedly of course, so I was rather unprepared, fidgeting with lenses in hopes to capture the grandeur of a Moose, while being mindful not to disturb the wild creature or provoke them to charge. Springtime in, southwestern Colorado, shows some of its first signs through hungry wildlife. We see blue birds, fox that haven’t yet shed their thick winters coat, bear emerging from a long winters hibernation, hunting coyote and more. This beauty was just outside of our house guarding a half-eaten prairie dog. He was not amused by our dogs insistent barking nor was he deterred from enjoying his afternoon catch. Sly Fox

I captured this hunting fox just this past fall (2016) as I was just beginning to work with my new camera and lens. He happened to be hunting just outside of my condo and must have caught 4 or more prey. A good day for fox. I absolutely love to watch animals or sit in the stillness of nature.
