San Diego Succulents and Sunsets
Hi friends! While I'm still organizing photos from our most recent trip to California and trying to find the best way to share them with you all I settled into the idea of grouping some of the southern coast succulents with San Diego's sultry sunsets. You may remember Succulents By The Sea in Santa Cruz, California shared last spring when we hung out more so on the northern coast of California with a few days spent in Laguna. This year we situated in San Diego with a nature reserve just outside of our door which led through a diverse natural arrangement of native plant life, sparkling sand dunes, and wild sweet grasses ending at a dog beach. It was a perfect set up for us (and the pup) each morning waking to the soul-stirring scent of gardenia, watching the suns first rays delicately shine on natures landscape, and each evening being witness to the huge golden sun dipping into the Pacific Ocean as if it were melting. As often as I hear how cliché sunsets and flowers are within the photography world I may be met more often with joyous intrigue -for flowers and sunsets are wonders we marvel at whenever gifted the chance. It's not my style to deny the happiness natures treasures bring to us!
"And still after all this time, the Sun has never said to the Earth, 'you owe me'. Look what happens with a love like that. It lights up the sky." Rumi
Have you visited California? What parts of the state do you like most?
As always thank you for joining me here and until next time,
Happy Trails♥
